Would have loved to go on the Singapore Flyer tonight.
But instead, was stuck in the hotel ballroom for the entire night, coordinating photoshoots for an unappreciative co-worker who was most uncooperative and gave me dark looks.
Hello, this is your event. We are helping you out. So why are you demanding this and that -
"I want the shot with the confetti.. are you sure they are all smiling?... I want a big big picture in the papers tomorrow" and unreasonable demands at that?
We do not oontrol the size of the editorial coverage, nor can we influence editorial decision on what goes into the papers.
Bah, you don't know what I missed out tonight just to secure media coverage for you, madam.
But unpleasant co-workers aside, I still love the adrenaline rush as you scramble to pitch stories to editors. And then succeed. Ah, the satisfaction, is immense.
