Cool On The Exterior, Warm Within
Back to work on a Sunday
Sunday, February 24, 2008 @ 10:55 PM
I whipped up the remaining tang yuan in the fridge this afternoon, after I came back from work. Yes, on a Sunday. Belatedly, while I was returning the pandan leaves to the fridge, I spotted a moving splash of brown on the plastic. Upon closer scrutiny (I was half-blind cos I wasn't wearing my specs), I discovered that it was a teeny snail. Eeks!
Bro and his pal were engrossed in their PS game when I butted in and sought their kind help in removing the eyesore. His pal gamely plucked it up (since Bro wouldn't) and then all three of us agonised over ways to dispose it.
Should we trash it? How inhumane!
How about leaving it in one of our potted plants? Hmm..wouldn't it eat up all the healthy leaves then?
And then, Bro and pal went out of the house to find a solution. When they came back after a few minutes, I asked, "So, where did you guys leave it?"
"In the neighbour's pot of plants!" And we dissolved in laughter. Oh so evil, I know!!

Back to work today, the Apple Daily reporter thought I was a fellow taiwanese.
Maybe I should go explore opportunities out there after all. But it is almost definite that we earn more than our counterparts in Taiwan. Oh well, and they are envious of Singaporeans! We should really count our blessings.
