Drained, bone-tired and ready to conk out after OT-ing yesterday night, I was most bothered when I received a phone call from one of those persistent telemarketers. Initially meant for my pa (who was not in), the saleslady refused to take up my suggestion of calling back later and started pitching her sales talk.

I was in no mood for niceties and cut her off. So she asked,"Am I speaking to a family member?"

And solemnly I replied (suddenly with a thickened accent), "No, I'm the maid.
I don't know what time Sir will be back. Probably quite late. You call back later?"

I doubled up in laughter after she hung up hastily. What a way to turn a bad day right. :p
