Sorting out my mail the other day, I came across the World Vision envelope. I had once toyed with the idea of adopting one of the World Vision kids together with a friend but it didn't come through in the end. That was a few years ago. And seeing that I actually have greater financial ability to do so now, it has become something that I can seriously consider.

When I mentioned it to my bro, he muttered, "Why not you adopt me instead?" Then, he cited all the things he wanted, including a piano and music lessons. Faint.

My lil bro is capable of shooting his mouth off, leaving you speechless. Earlier, he related to me something which he said to the auntie at the bakery today. This particular auntie was a rather aggressive sales person who was promoting the cookies on 50% discount. While I was getting my waffle (yum!), my brother was loitering inside the bakery. It was a swelteringly hot afternoon. So when the auntie approached my brother, he told her in jest, that he was just in there for the aircon.

I had to laugh when I heard the story. You simply don't need to tell people the truth sometimes! What a zai sibling I have.
