My mum just passed me this old savings passbook of mine.. and I was aghast to find that $2 has been deducted from the account monthly due to insufficient funds. Since Aug 1999!
Gosh, if that's the case, then we are now in the year 2006..
Apr 2006 - Aug 1999 = 6 yrs and 9 mths
= 81 mths
= 81 mths x $2
= $164
Sheesh, my wealth has been going down the drain without my knowledge! And I bet the bank people are laughing hard every month, looking at the extra revenue coming in.
Sigh, I got to find the time to go down to the bank and do something about the account soon.
The bell just chimed from afar.. It's 12 noon on 1st April!
No no.. I wasn't making a April Fool's joke earlier.. I wldn't be joking abt $$ rite? Sigh.
Though I have always wondered why there are always bell chimes on the 1st day of every month.. like where do they come from?? And is there a special significance? Hmm.
